The planned complex of buildings in the immediate vicinity of Wunstorf Air Base, on an area previously used for agriculture, consists of a maintenance hangar with peripheral buildings, apron and outdoor facilities. The main building will be used to carry out maintenance work (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) on the Luftwaffe's A400M weapon system.

The hangar is bordered to the west and north by adjoining workshops and offices. The building is designed as a pure steel construction on a solid base. The canteen stands on two pedestals, is placed as a separate building between the office wing and the parking area and is connected to the two aforementioned buildings by a closed pedestrian bridge. The parking pallet is planned as an open split-level large garage in a steel/steel composite system construction. In the access area of the entire facility, the single-storey reception building together with the supply centre is located above the fire water storage tank.
The materials of the facades take up the traditional clinker brick in the area of the office block and the outbuildings and merge into a functional metal facade in the area of the maintenance hall.
