The existing SZS Stadtzentrum Schenefeld offers about 100 stores on three floors under one roof and provides about 1,200 parking spaces.
At the beginning of 2011, the city center was expanded to the north.
The development concept provided for a supermarket on the first floor, stores or office space on the 1st and 2nd floors as well as an open parking garage, with the entire basement being used as a parking lot.
The vertically running glass joint in the west of the head section ensures a sensitive connection to the existing SZS building and redefines the entrance to the new building.
The representative west and north side of the head-end building will be executed with clinker brickwork as in the existing building.
The facade of the consumer market on the ground floor was designed as an insulated metal panel facade. In the parking area the grid was filled with sound insulation lamellas.
